**Rules**:
- A straightforward piece in Russian Checkers moves diagonally forward to an adjacent square.
- The king, however, has more freedom — it can move diagonally in any direction on any vacant square, but crucially, it cannot jump over pieces of its own color.
- Capturing is mandatory. Pieces and kings that are captured are removed only after the turn is completed.
- After capturing an opponent's piece, if there's the possibility to continue capturing more of the opponent's pieces, this process continues until it's impossible to make another capture. This applies to capturing both forward and backward.
- When the king captures an opponent's checker, it stands on any available square after the captured piece.
- When a piece reaches the last row, it transforms into a king and continues playing according to the king's rules.
- There's a unique rule called "Turkish strike". If a piece is beaten but not yet removed from the board, it blocks any other piece or king from capturing.
- If there's more than one option for capturing opponent's checkers, the player selects the capturing move at their discretion.
